    Clamping feed neck question

If you have a high rise centerfeed stainless body could you cut down the feed neck to accept a low rise clamping feed neck like One from Nummech? Thanks

I've seen a marker on ebay that claimed to have done that very thing.

Interesting, so at least it has been thought of or attempted.

It does slide on for sure. It's a snug fit on the stainless but I'll assume that it will slide off with any significant jolt when a hopper is in place.
It would greatly benefit from a roughing up the stainless surface where that 3/16 of an inch grabs. Then it might hold. Certainly worth a full test if you have a vert body collecting dust.

Thanks Sandman I appreciate the pics and insight. I am coming into an Emag with a high rise vert feed. I am looking into solutions for low rise setup until I can obtain a ULE body or a no rise stainless body.

I've done that a few times. The lapco feedneck works well.

Can't hurt to make it flush right?
