I never really announced it (lol) but yes I'm currently dialing everything in to produce my own valves for Lc marker builds. I'm still in the prototyping phase, but I did just get P2 valves (and updates for the P1's) in yesterday from the anodizer, I'm still a ways out before showing anything. My current thinking is valves will only be available in full Lc builds and wont be sold as 'parts' because I dont want to compete with AGD anymore than I already am, we all need Tim and Dave around.

It's just a standard X valve, form has changed but function hasn't. It looks a little different due to my manufacturing process but the air chambers are all exactly the same size and all the parts are where they need to be. You can't interchange my regulator or valve body with the AGD counter parts but mine accepts all the other factory parts including the velocity adjuster and powertubes..

            What a beaut!!

Hey Luke, I just noticed that the back of your valve is a bit different from AGD's. How does one adjust the velocity on it? Is it tool less? Can you please talk a bit more about it?

            Thanks,

            Mendel.

Ah, now I see it. So you just pass the allen key through it and then turns. Indeed, this can be a stiff adjustment so that should help with the lever movement. Thanks for clarifying. Any other changes you did? Do you have a single hole between the reg and body part of the valve, like the standard AGD valves or did you go with multiple/larger holes?

I did make changes because AGD valves are machined on a lath and mine are machined on a VMC (mill). Some of the factory cuts cant be duplicate on a mill so those areas needed to change. That said the air chamber sizes match exactly throughout the valve but the transfer where the reg and valve come together look different. Plus my regulator and valve bodies wont interchange with AGD valves, however my valve will accept all AGD parts including powertubes and velocity adjuster. It's still an X valve.

I did redesign the powertube to make it stronger, the ones shown here are P1's but I have P2's sitting on my desk. I also changed mine to L10 only, meaning they're designed to be used without the L10 backing washer, it's baked into the design.

The hole is the same but the chamber design changed. I think mine is much cleaner and will flow better but AGD valves work so well there would never be a way to test it. That's not meant to be a selling point, just an observation of the two cavity designs in 3d.

Here's a comparison of the two valve halves.

Super cool to see how you put your touch on it. Also, even though the AGD valves do work perfectly, it makes sense to have some improvements after 20+ years on the original design. Thanks for sharing and congrats on the work!
