I was thinking about that and considering opening a separate thread about it. Should we stop running MOTM polls here, then? Every month we see less and less entries and votes. Maybe make December the last one? Or should we just advertise there and hope to bring back some of the traffic and then re-assess? Thoughts?

I wish the 2 groups had more active mods... no offense to the mods that are actually in the groups. It seems like they are just kind of set on autopilot.

I also thinking back i wonder how many motm entries i have missed vs entered.

We could try a single contest for MOTY and drop MOTM. Collect entries for a year then have everyone vote for their favorite 3 markers, maybe award 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for most popular.

I would also suggest you keep the votes private until the poll closes.

That's a good idea, actually. Maybe we should do it this way moving forward. I think I'll open a poll with that idea to see what people prefer.

That, I'm not so sure. I think it's important to see who is voting for transparency purposes. Also, I wouldn't know how to disclose it after the poll is closed. My understanding (could be wrong) is that it's either/or like either I let it open or not.
