I threw my hat in the ring and if memory serves I got it down to 1.5lbs playable weight. I may have gotten it down another ounce or so but this was close to the lightest I could get a mag.

Once again devilman donated a, at the time, super rare CF milled body to this experiment and has the prototype marker I built at 1.489lbs. You think just because it’s light it’s a toy? Just imagine I show up to your mechanical field with this thing

I sware ocifer it’s mechanical. It just hits 26bps haha

Nice to see you still doing this. Ya you could loose some serious weight on the valve if you knew how far you could go. I had no idea how much and where I could turn down the valve before it was to thin. I bet you would be able to walk that line better than anyone.

My goal has always been to make parts as light as possible but without sacrificing the strength and integrity of the parts, strictly measured by my engineering, manufacturing and designing rules of what's what and why. That said everything I make could be even lighter but you reach a point of diminishing return in quality. It's a bit of a balancing act so I dont get to wrapped up in final weight, that said Lc markers are every light.

About the valve, I do make my own LcX valve now.
I've never compared the weight difference between mine and the AGD X (yet) still finishing up production on my internals.

I was shooting for 1.25lbs and I could have gotten there but I was starting to loose tha shoot ability and aesthetics with the limited tools I had. I bet 1.25lbs would be pretty easy now.

Those valves look nice! Same high input pressure reg as agd, or lower pressure? Any idea what the final price will be? Very interesting.

I think Cougar20th has you all beat. I held it and it is pretty light.

It was light. I dont recall its final weight. But it included the barrel in the weight. Currently its valve is in another gun. I am making it lighter yet. It will still be a minimag length rail with foregrip and zlock.

I would love to see the final weight when you get it done. love me some weight reduction.
I am into cycling and weight reduction is big in cycling. I have a Titanium all road bike I built and it’s 8.5kg with ti front fork. I can get it down to 8kg even if I swap out to a carbon for but the aero titanium front fork looks super sick.

I tracked down the very old post.

I had kept the heavier grips because they just made the build look right. I will be replacing the rail and foregrip with new parts hopefully this winter. Still minimag length and zlock. But a hell of alot lighter.

That’s pretty light and it looks really nice and comfortable to shoot. It looks like you could have shaved some ounces but just like I did you chose to keep it functional and comfortable.
