    Double Finger Mag History

    Hey Guys (and Gals)!

I'm trying to isolate the release date of the first mechanical double finger trigger for a paintball gun.

The very first documented case I have is a Pro-Team Products ad in August of 96 which depicts (a drawing) of a MICROMAG with an optional double finger 45 grip frame.

Can anyone tell me when Benchmark started producing their double finger trigger frames?

I'm not sure how to handle guns that had their trigger guards chopped and a double finger trigger fitted. Without some kind of proof, it could've come from any year (or even this year).

I've seen lots of 'private label' mags (Planet Eclipse) that may have had a cut guard and a double finger trigger installed but, I can't confirm when they released that.

We were cutting trigger guards off right around the time the first 45 frames and SP double triggers were being sold. I would say it was before 96... but not much before.

Pouring over a bunch of 94, 95 and 96 paintball mags, catalogs, newsletters, and the earliest I found was a Paintball Planet ad in the April 95 issue of Paintball Games International.

Here's a link to a pic of the ad (I retrieved from Old Paintball Magazines FB Group).
