    Viper M1 Military

    Hi,

I was thinking about maybe buying the viper m1 military. Anyone ever used one? Are they as accurate as a mag? Are they as durable as one? Any owners groups for them? Thanks!

My first maker was a Viper M1 military. They are very well made, all metal construction, built in expansion chamber, sight rail, etc. You need to upgrade the stock barrel to the 12" ceramic teflon to improve the accuracy. Easy to clean and maintain as well.

Only problem with these is that there are not a lot of after market upgrades available and many pro shops don't carry them. This can make them difficult to get fixed if they break. I sold mine to upgrade to an RT Pro. I don't know of any owners groups for the Viper M1 but checkout www.pbreview.com for some more reviews on these. For the same money as a viper you can get a mag and with a mag you have more upgrade options and they're certainly a more common marker.
