That all carbon fiber tanks have some sort of cover on them so they are protected from being damaged during normal use. Personaly I like the Dye cover as it offers more protection then a simple neoprene cover.
Saw 1 that was really beat up hard where the clear coat was missing down to the fiber wrap and the field still filled it
