frgood, i just want to say that was my feeling exactly with respect to cockers. when i buy something, i expect the thing to work and not require constant upkeep. some sort of minimal level of function that i know i can resort to should something go wrong.

because store owners want to sell stuff they push cockers because look at all the upgrades I like cockers and some of the owners its just too many newbies just repeat what store owners tell them. At my feild my mag gets nothing but respect I get comments like "I've never seen a mag shoot that fast, can I try it." and "wow that thing rips" oh and "wow you never break paint with that?"

Hey Magman007 it's your worst nightmare. You remember when you had your Spyder Shutter and I had to fix it 'cause you didn't know how too. Well I beat you on the field back then and guess what, I can still beat you on the field. You don't have to act all tough 'cause I ruined you with my stock Spyder TL. And I never said I didn't like all Mag's just E-Mag's 'cause what's the point in laying down 500 rounds in ten seconds 'cause it only takes ONE shot to kill someone. I have no problem with Mags but I see no point in spending so much on an E-Mag when I could by a tricked out Angel from my friend for the same as an E-Mag. I compliment Mags on the field as much as I compliment Angel's, Cocker's, etc. I also never tell anyone to switch to a Cocker, I just ask them if they have ever shot one, then I ask why they prefer their gun to a Cocker or any other gun for that matter, and then I agree with them on some truthful points that they make and then I tell them my reasons as to why I choose to shoot a Cocker. I'm not a bad guy I just disagree with Magman007 a.k.a Shadowboy on some points and yes I admit I was wrong it was a Mag RT that had the Z-Grip, see there I admitted I was wrong, but it's also wrong for Magman007 to post what I send to him without my consent. And AllAmericanMag the phrase "Cocker Jock" isn't all that funny and if you see as being all that hilarious than your a little too immature for your own good, and if it makes you feel "Special" yes you can be a "Shocker Jock" or whatever you want for that matter. Truth be told I am a Cocker Jock and most everybody I know in California are Cocker Jocks I have no problem with being called a Cocker Jock but an ignorant one I don't know about that, Mag Jocks shoot Mags 'cause they like them and Cocker Jocks shoot Cockers 'cause they like them, I personally think they are both great guns and can hold their own in the right hands, but then again any gun in the right hands could ruin anybody. So that's my response to everything everyone has said about me, yes me 'cause I am the friend who lives in California and I am the person who mistakinly took a Mag RT to be an E-Mag, probably 'cause I was paying more attention to the game. So there, if any one has any more to say here I am, so say it, just remember I have no problem with any other guns I just personally think that Cockers are better 'cause when I had my Mag with a pump conversion kit, I was always wanting to go go to a Cocker, and everyone has their own personal views on every gun out there and Cockers are more comfortable for me so I would rather shoot a Cocker, that's why I say Cocker's Rule.

Dude awesome post. Really. Clear, honest and to the point.
If comfort is your thing, have you tried a Z-gripped mag or the new Angel? I haven't tried either, but I'm interested.

In the end it should be a personal choice thing. Not peer pressure. Read and think, just like move and shoot.

Yea, i rember that... But you see, the times have changed. you may have been able to wreck a newbie at that time, which dosnt take any skill at all. And, just to be fair, all you did was clip my mainspring, nothing else. Also, what makes you think you can wreck me now? Have you seen me play lately? Give ol ian up a call, heel tell ya. Ne ways, The reason so many people like e-mags(incl my self) is that you dont need the batery to run the thing! it is just magnificent. And it comes with the standard that AGD sets in customer service. Also, im glad you owned up to finaly admitting that it was not a z-gripped e-mag but an rt. That was nice of you, and it took guts. Not many people have what it takes to own up to that, even after the things you said. Well, im glad were on slightly better terms now, and enjoy the forums, you will find about every type of marker user here, each one willing you to help you out. I can say I have seen most of the arguments above. The group I play with is all Tippmann and Spyder equiped. Two weekends ago a fellow shows up with a spyder tl and proceeds to call my micromag "one of them fancy guns". This phrase was replaced with "man that thing zings some paint" after the first game. This is instant vindication but in my crowd everbody fights to be on the other team hoping to be the one to pop me out. I guess that could be considered flattery in an odd form. The only thing I have against cocker's is that I don't want to be the fellow working on one.

Well, as soon as I saw the name of this thread I knew that there was goin to be at least one argument, as sick as I am of all these kinds of threads,I like to hear all the storys. I started with a shutter, then a 68 classic, then emag, now I have a Racegrip FreeFlow. At my field there are probably around 15 to 20 Emags, which is just insane. Then there are all the retros, classics, tipps, rentals, cockers, angels etc. etc. There is no reason why anyone should bash anyone else, if they are happy with their gun then so be it. As much as the creator of this thread probably didn't think "cocker jocks" would catch on, it did, and I for one don't like it. Just from reading through this whole thread, you can see the term being used more negatively each post. Then you get people who can't let things be and get people with different guns telling you your gun sucks, I know if a guy had a mag, and started saying all this "stuff", all you mag owners wouldn't like the name hes giving all you. In conclusion, all of us cocker guys are not like that, so please take it easy on the "cocker jocks" comments.

People who cant afford mags and play with tippmans or spyders diss them because they cant have one. I own a mag and a cocker and they are both great guns. In my opinion, the cocker shoots better, but the mag is less maintnence. People who own cocker and talk bad about mags dont know what they're talking about.

Like I said before I have no problem with any other guns, I just prefer my Cocker. Yes I have tried a Z-Gripped Mag and for me it's way too akward to play with, the new IR-3 Angels have a straight grip frame and they are differant but I could play with it and wouldn't have a problem with it being uncomfortable. Scootyd the only thing you do when you "zing paint" is waste money/paint so I really see no point in "zinging paint" cause it only takes ONE shot. BunkerHugger if you stole my plumbing something bad might happen to you. And I really don't mind being called a "Cocker Jock" 'cause I am one.
