    powdercoating question

    i was wondering if anyone knows if you get the body of an automag powdercoated if it will hurt it or not... i know its been done before but just wanted to check to see if it wont hurt the body of my gun before i got it done.

    no problem at all
    you just want to make sure you mask off the right places.
    ie, where the body mates to the rail, and cap off the tubes so none of the paint gets inside.

      thanks for the help, what would you recomend to use to close off the holes? just anything that will fit?

        If its done correctly it won't I have had four done and all the tolerances were well within. It must be done thin and smooth. Redrider87 will do you a good job. He knows mags ana where to tape off and such. [email protected]

          masking should be done with tape that is specific for the powder coat process. regular tape when baked out will do some nasty things. cphillip is prolly right, paint is likely to be fairly thin. therefore, redrider is prolly your best deal. do a search in the forums there are others I believe who also do powder coating.
