Anybody ever use their electros in the rain?

The other day it was POURING, but i had to play, so i went out to PBATL and played some with some friends. Annnyway, i didn't want my gun to get wet, so i took one of the 500ball bags and cut holes for my barrel, hopper, and a hole for my trigger. It kept most of the gun pretty dry, one of my friends didn't use a bag and his impulse had water pouring out of the bolt, hopefully not much on the electronics. Anyone here ever use their electro in the rain, anything ever happened?

I've heard *stories* about people that dropped their Angel in a creek and it still work. But they are only *stories*. I've never been able to use mine in the rain, mostly because I hardly ever get to use it My bro has used his defiant in the rain lotsa times and nothin happened. I would suggest puttin somethin over the barrel though.

                      Rain

I live in the UK (we get a LOT of rain) and I've used my Angel LCD in the really heavy downpours lots of times.

                      It's always worked just fine!

However, they one peice of kit that does have problems in the rain is my 12v revvy. It's a standard 12 volt Gem series revvy with the new(er) board (not Xboard) that works with clear shells.

When it got damp, the sensor stopped working and it would ALWAYS spin. This is pretty annoying when you're trying to sneak up on someone.

Luckily, they had a roaring fire going at WDPs site that day and I held my revvy over it for 10 mins between games and that seemed to evaporate most of the moisture out of it and it worked normally again.

My newer Xboard revvy is much better in the rain; I've not had any problems with it so far.

                      Jan.

And to cover your barrel so rain cannot get in as easily:

Get one of the plastic covers like JT puts their barrels in. Cut an X into one end. Slide it over your barrel with the cut side first. You will have to cut it big enough to fit it over your barrel though. This should keep out some of the rain.
Why go to the light, when darkness has its warmth too....

rain isnt too bad a problem for me, i leave it open and not to many drops will find their way even through the freak tear drop porting lol... i think the worst problem i had was my barrel getting full of mud or snow because i dove into a bunker er something like that (i trip alot LOL)

                            but

                            like that guy said
always bags over barrels, cause if you got porting, the water will mess with your accuracy etc, if the rain gets into the barrel

                            no porting = dont worry

                              Angels in the Rain...

Well, maybe I just got struck with a bit of bad luck but I played with my 2000 LCD in some serious rain ONE time for ONE game that probably didn't last for more than ONE minute and it fried my board. It was worth it though, we took first and I got the board replaced for free. So chance it if you wish but from now on, I only use my cocker in the rain...
