I was curious what the large "hole" in the bottom of the I-Frame was for? (the one between the mounting holes) Just to lighten it up? Also, the instructions say to run the wires threw a notch you cut in the grips, it looks to me like there is a section milled in the frame to mount a jack for the intelli wires, is this what this "bar" is for?
Just received my I-Frame... Have a few non-tech questions.

The large square hole on the bottom is just a support to hold it during the machining process. On the newer I-Frames, they drilled a hole through that square hole and then did two grooves out the left and right side of the square hole. This way you can just mount the switch in the frame, run your wire down through that hole and then put the wires in the groove so they don't get smashed by your cradle when you mount it.
On the original I-Frames the idea was to mount a jack in the frame and cut a hole in the grips. As seen here.
The new method of not using a jack and just dropping the wires out the bottom of the frame is the best method. -
I actually like the idea of the jack in the frame. It sits low enough that your hand doesn't hit the plug, and I've never had a problem with the plug coming out during a game. I guess I just don't like the idea of wires hanging out the bottom of the frame.Comment

I don't know of any pictures of the frame with the plug in place, and I don't have any to post. You could just take rat tail file (the triangle looking one) and file a groove in the botton of the frame with one of the corners of the file until it is deep enough to fit the wire through. This wouldn't affect looks since you can't see it with the grips on. The plug is really easy to put on, and only cost like a buck something. You do have to solider some of the connections though. I like the plug set up better, mainly for the looks, and the fact that I don't have a wire hanging out the botom of the frame, if I'm not using the warp.Comment

Here's about the best pic I can come up with showing the cable running to the jack in the grip frame. This is my old gun with the phone jack mod and hole cut in the Dye stickies. I never had a problem with the intellifeed getting in the way since it's low enough on the gripframe.
