i was just out playin last week and it started rainin (playin in the rain is cool exept for water in your barel). I knew this would be bad cuz of water gettin in my barrel. i have a sp AA so there are plenty of holes for the water to get into. is there any way that i could cover the wholes without messin up the accuracy?

Yeah, make yourself a silencer for it. Make a trip to your local plumping store. You'll need the following:
1) 1 x 2 or 3 foot section of 2" or PVC pipe, very cheap, usually 40-60 cents a foot depending where you get it.
2) 2 x 2" end caps
3) PVC pipe glue
4) power drill
5) a drill bit the same diameter as your barrel
6) 1 x larger rubber o-ring, large enough to slip over the end or your barrel tightly.
7) hacksaw to cut the pipe
8) Paint to color it to taste
Take your PVC pipe, and slip one of the end caps tightly over the end, this way you get a good idea how far on it will go. With the cap in place, measure the pipe, keeping in mind how much space the second end cap will need on the other end once the pipe has been cut. Mark your pipe clearly and carefully cut the pipe with the hacksaw. Drill holes in the end caps just big enough that the barrel slips through with some effort. Put the end caps on your section of pipe tightly, don't glue them yet, and place the whole thing on your marker to check the fit and length. Use the o-ring to hold the silencer in place. If you're happy with it, glue the end caps on and paint it. If you don't like the length, either trim it to make it shorter, or use what's left of the PVC pipe to make the length a little longer. This will keep your barrel dry and give the air inside a sufficient pocket to expand around in.
Enjoy!

In fact
Well, as a matter of fact, a few teamates and I are starting a simple paintball company (Nothing too advanced), just because we like to tinker and we've made some really cool stuff in the past.
One of products in development is called the "Stealth Shroud" here is the description from our website:
The Stealth Shroud is designed to easily slide onto your barrel. It will keep paint and water out of porting holes, reduce noise, and provide a place to rest your free hand to help steady your gun if you do not have a fore-grip. The shroud will also protect the coat of your barrel from the elements and paint. It is 5" long and the exterior is made of soft, flexible material that can easily be cleaned. The interior is coated with talcum powder so it will slide onto the barrel easily.
We were actually working on our website this weekend, and it will be up and running within a day or two. Also, I'll have pictures of the Shroud by tonight, and i'll post them in this thread.
If you're interested, it's $5.99 plus $.85 shipping and handling (It costs very close to that to make it, not to mention a good deal of time, so we're not trying to make a big profit... It's just cool to know that people around the world are playing paintball using our stuff
). Once again, we'll have pics up tonight.
If interested, email me at [email protected]

Cut down one of those plastic sleeves that your barrel came in long enough to cover the porting, and tape that thing in place with a little electrical tape.

do it the easy way
Or ya can do it the easy way, say your at a tourney, and put a lil' tape of the ports, it'll e loud thats it.
But you'll have humitity and then it'll be exactly like ya have water in there, so all around your screwed, just just make big moves, and throw'em off, and just whip out a 10 man bunker?

Take some rag or plastic bag and wrap it around the barrel. Then take some big rubber bands to hold it in place.
The good thing about doing that is that it's super easy and cheap, and you can find everything within 10 feet of your lazy a*s."If everything is under control your not moving fast enough."
