why is the superbolt so expensive

i mean you can go by these cocker bolts for 50 bucks that have milling and extra air holes and all this crap then a mag bolt is liek the simpilist bolt in teh world it cost the same. why arent they like 25 30 bucks? I want a superbolt but not for 50 bucks

most cocker bolts dont do anything, where as the Super bolt reduces recoil and other stuff. it cost more to mill because its Stainless steel. a cocker bolt is mostly Alumium right??

Hm, so if Tom made a mag bolt with "milling and extra air holes and all this crap," which did almost nothing for performance (just like your beloved cocker bolts), you would buy it?

i mean the stock cocker bolt is pretty darn good compared to some of the aftermarket ones

the only reason i said that was because that runs the price up and teh mag bolts are expensive for what some delerin i coudl care less about cocker bolts bolts are a bunch of bs except for A few like the super bolt and teh stock bolt. Okay ill change my question how much is that delerin sleeve.

                Its not just the sleeve...

How many cocker bolts do you know of that are made of Stainless steel that are heat treated to 56 rockwell factor.

The quality of the stainless used in AGD bolts are synonomous to those used in high quality german cutlery.

                  R&D

Most new products are a little more expensive at first because the manufacturers have an investment in their Research and Development hours and capital. If AGD initially sold their bolts cheap it could take years to break even on their investment. Seeing how this is a business they need to make a profit. I have no problem paying a little more for a bolt. The larger AGDs profit the more they can afford to invest in R&D and provide us with improved products.

petefol. they had a problem with the sleeve. and some one who will remain name less. we all rember him, reported a false injury claim about the center of the bolt shooting out the barrel. production is just slowed at the moment.
