I have an old OTP barrel that I'd like to silver anodize. If this is possible, won't the bore of the barrel be affected since the process requires dipping the barrel?

No, to put it in really simple terms, anodizing is just like dying and then sealing the dye

It will have a slightly larger bore depending on the anno process. It should increase the bore about .002" for most cosmetic anno.
The reason is the existing anno has to be stripped which will eat a slight amount of the material. Then they will silver (clear) anno the barrel.
