Preference: Woods or Speeball setup? dilema!

Okay. we have a decently large woods field. you can BARELY see to the other side, definately cant shoot it, maybe shoot half way. we've used it, but is to open, not a lot of brush to fill in with, plenty of green and shrubs, but you can shoot through some. so we also have 12 pallets lying around. we STARTED a speedball near it, but we dont have enough materials to finish and pry wont get it completed anytime soon. or by next summer at this rate. so do we expand the woods, throw all the bunkers in there, and develope one KICK-A top grade woods field, or develope the speedball and the woods just a little with 2 mediocre fields... and mediocre means mediocre woods, speedball in a year?

I personally like speedball alot more. I like the adrenaline rush and it's way easier to make. You just need a bit of space and some stuff to make bunkers out of.

Ughhh I HATE woodsball. All the newbies just sit and hide and wait for you to walk into a clearing. Its boring just waiting around trying to figure out where people are. I just plain like speedball where theres nowhere to run and nowhere to hide =P

          Well...

I perfer speedball, because it is more fast paced and more action. In woods ball there are too many trees to block you shot, and I hate having to search for my enemie.

Work towards a speedball field gradually. As you clear out the land for the speedball field use the wood and brush to knock together some bunkers for your woods course.

One problem I've experienced with speedball is the amount of paint one goes through. Unless you have lots of money or make your own paint, I would think you wouldn't get to play as much speedball as you would on a woods filed. I like woods more than speedball...maybe just shorten your woods field. I like the idea of bases and bunkers too. That adds for many new varieties of play.

                a lil more info perhaps...

the land is already clear for the speedball. its one of our old cornfields, grown over, now mowed in the middle. so we have it plotted, and one palate everywhere we want a bunker. but we dont have NEAR enough to fill it, and one pallate is only 3 feet tall at most. so smaller. the woods isnt thick, by anymeans. theres some dense patches, but we've nbver lost anyone in there, cept my brother but hes in the army so its understandable. the people that play with us regularly dont just SIT. they are cautious, but they wont ambush you much, they come to say hello. it to clear to just use on its own, so the bunkers would make it nice...

Me and my friends created a field in the woods where you there is one large path right down the middle, and bunkers to the left and right. About 35 yards to the right of that is a cliff. If we want to play a sorta speedball game, we make the cliff the back and side tapeline, the other is marked by a fenceline and blaze, then the end of the woods is the last back fenceline. There is a small amount of brush, most of the time you can get a hit through the brush. If we want a woods game, we state go anywhere. Honestly, we don't care too much about it, we're there to have some fun.

                    Well..

I prefer to play speedball but I think you should have at least one great field (be it woods or speed) instead of one so/so field and another that's only in your mind (at least for now). Fill out your woods field with a bunch of bunkers and I'm sure you can get fast paced action going on. You can start collecting materials this winter and hopefuly you'll have enough by the summer to make your speedball field.

So basicly I say go with the woods if that's the one you can make perfect right now.

There is no rush like the one you get when you breakout during a good speedball game. It's fasted pace and aggressive and thats what I love about it.
