avatars on ao

Why are the avatars disabled on ao?

Because they have to be stored on AO's server causing more bandwith use. They also slow down page loading because they can't be turned off in your profile.

They're repeated multiple times per thread.

They also contain content that AO does not allow, unlike other sites.

In short, no avatars, not in the foreseeable future.

i personaly like that there are no avatars. if you have people with big ones then you have to scoll over to read their post.

i was just wondering because i like to do anything to express myself. well anyway seems like no one else wants um so itll be kept that way. thanks for info.

I think it would be nice to have avatrs.It can be like the sig rule where it can not exceed a certain amount of room.Yes, Snooky it would be a good way to express your self.
