Getting Meself a shocker...what do y'all think (Warning: This thang is UGLY!)

hey guys! I'm picking up a 2000 shocker with glacier board for 250 bucks or so. Comes with cut frame and 2x trigger, dye sticky grips, glacier board, all american barrel, and teardrop barrel.

The guy stripped the anno off cuz he was gonna get it annoed, but he never got around to it. Thus, this thing is UGLY! I'm planning on sanding and polishing it to a mirror shine, and it will be my own pretty, cheap, chromish looking shocker.

LOL.....yes, very very ugly. He said the pics dont do it justice, but I dont see how it could look 1/2 decent. Only very rarely does any shocker look decent. Anyhow, when I get the nerve to take it apart, i might toss it into crazy ivan's next anno batch. Any color beats no color right. If i buffed it to a mirror shine though....mmm...mmm...mmm, that could be a pretty gun (almost), witha nice silver body, black everythng else, and clear stickies.

The way this coud turn out sweet would be if I sold the 2 barrels, got a freak back for shocker and maybe 15 bucks. I could probably sell the vertical maxflow for 75, then I'd have 90. The gun is costing me 240 or so, 240-90 =150. I could possibly rig up a gas thru, and run my maxflow straight in there with a long hose. Then I would have a 150 dollar shocker running off the maxflow I already have, and a freak back with the tip and inserts I already have. Has the makings of a bargain :)

Your going to sell the vertical max-flow then run it horizontal? You would have to buy another maxflow then, in which case you will end up spending more than before. Even if your talking about the kit to mount it vertically, that will sell for ~$30, then you will have to buy a smart parts manifold to run it horizontal. I run my shocker vertical, I like it and I suggest you consider it if you haven't.

The worthwhile upgrades, if you don't know already, are the werm v2 delerian bolt, the hyper frame(www.hypersportworks.com)/werm frame(www.wermmods.com), and of course a freak.

even SO easy to get a pretty woman? hmm I had to work like hell to get mine

guess I spend all my time at work or in class though so it does make things a bit different... being at work at 7 every morning kinda detracts from the night life :)


on topic though, shockers are all ugly pretty much, though I've seen a few from HSW that were almost ok.

I just bought a 2002 Yellow Vertical Feed Shocker and I'm Extreeeeeeemely happy with it. Mine's alot prettier than that though
