No, you don't have to buy direct from AKA. I know this because I just held one last week that was sitting on the shelf at my local field. I was told it was selling for 1400, it had a custom anno too i guess.

      Ok, I just got back.

And Tunaman: I would rather put enough spray on my opponent to get them out with me when they light me up. BTW, where were you again when I was lo9oking for you and I was the only one left?

Also, I just shot a scab (excaliber) over the weekend. I think it is a great marker. However, the rate of fire was slow compared to my micro-e. (many of you know how I shoot can back me up on this) Breaking paint was minimal (but I still did break paint) due to the rate of fire issue. I had a warp on it but the paint problem may have been due to the rain. I really should start a new thread somewhere with gun reviews for this forum. (unbiased of course but with plain hard truths about ball breakage and so on as every marker I have shot has broken paint). If I had a choice, I would opt for my E-mag any day. However, If I was stuck to either a scab or viking, I would say viking due to rate of fire. Remember, I play back and am responsible for sending paint down the lanes so my judgements are for players who think like I do.

Also, Paintballistix sells both AKA products as well as ours. Talk to Mel as he can probably give you all a good deal on an AKA marker hooked up with a warp and Flatline air system at a really good deal. And yes, he does carry Scabs in stock but Vikings are hard to come by

            Gecko,

Sorry bro, That was just what I heard Mel and his boys call it but I could be wrong as the pronunciations can be very similar.

Overall, nothing beats a good hard E-mag that just won't go down

forget about the Excaliber... the Viking is almost twice as cheap with similar preformance. So for the price you pay for a stock black ugly Excaliber, u can get a nicely milled an anodized Viking.

now.. u tell me which is nicer...

                this plain Excaliber...

or a nice anoed and milled Viking??

Truely I'd take the Excal everytime. Why? Because it will always be more rare, and I don't like having the same marker as everyone else. I'll bet that the Vikings sales numbers pass the Excals with in the year.(If AKA can keep up with demand)

Personally I don't like the stock AKA milled Excals or Vikings --- but my soon to be PBX is a different story--isn't the body pretty!
