Using my mag for first time today---any advice/words of wisdom?

In about 4 hours I will be using my PF mag, with DYE2x frame + N2. I am planning on putting in a few drops of oil in the ASA and dry firing (without barrel) about 20 times before playing. After that, any other tips on the mag? Anything I should be extra careful about? I do not have an agitated hopper right now, so trying to get lots of BPS is not going to be happening. Thanks, and I can't wait to use the thing. I'll do a lil write-up/review after using it!

Great to hear your going to be using your first mag! Welcome to the family, and welcome to AO!

As to your mag, not too much, but a few pointers-

If you are not using an agitated hopper, remember to shake the hopper frequently

Make sure your barrel is turned all the way into locked position so that it's correctly lined up with the feed.

You might short-stroke your mag a little. Thats where you release the trigger, but not fully, and the gun lets out a little spout of air, sometimes just enough to move the ball in the barrel out to let another ball half way in the breech. In time, you will probably get used to the trigger, but just make sure you do a solid pull-and-release each time.

I don't know how new you are to paintball, but ALWAYS wear your mask when using it, even just messing around. Treat it like a real firearm.

Other than that, you should be ok. Anyone else have anything to add that I might have not mentioned?

Have a great day with your mag!

    -Dave

Above all, have a good time. Avoid short-stroking, yaddayadda.... Very sweet guns, they are.
I'm way too old for this ****.

Congrats on using your new mag today. You wont need any advice the mag is the best gun around. It will need no work or anything.

Here are some words of Army- "You can always tell the Mag guys and gals at the field, they're the ones having a soda or sandwich, while everyone else is busy working on their guns"

Have fun with your new mag.

If you trust yourself enough to clean your gun thouroughly afterwards, don't be afraid to every part on you and your gun caked in dirt. It makes it more fun that way, and gives you more bragging rights about your gun's durability.
                    http://www.digitalpaintball.net - I love this game!

Chrome adds around 4 bps to any gun.
