    What happenes when...

ever since I first heard about the Retro, RT, and E-mag valves (all the same) and they could only be run off nitro, I wondered. What would happen if you ran it off c02? Would it break, leak profusley, or not even charge and cock the system? So could someone who knows the ansewr to this question, like tom, Black, or anyone else, please answer. Now in NO way do I plan on running my e-mag off co2, but I was just wondering what would happen if someone who didnt know better did.

Cphilip did. It just leaked and refused to fire. He had to replace all the o-rings. If I remember correctly that is....

Well you must be thinking of another cphilip. I never have run CO2 in mine nor do I plan on trying it. However I would love to see one of you others try it!

no mag likes liquid co2 going into the system cuz it freezes up the orings. I would think you could probably run co2 on a emag or retro but it wouldnt perform very well

after a dozen shots the co2 condenses in the valve and you start freezing things up and leaking.

Yeah, I read somewhere that it will suck liquid CO2 into the gun. So that's one area that Impulses and Shockers reign over mags.

XspyX is right, one of the mods did post a bit back about trying CO2 in an Emag (I thought it was Army or BlackVCG). As I recall, it worked for a string of a few shots before it froze up, and the on/off o-rings had to be replaced.

So the CO2 condenses in the valve... because the RT is just too fast and doesn't give the gas enough time to expand and heat up? If someone who knows cares to post, I'd be interested in the thermodynamics behind this effect and what exactly causes the condensation.
