I currently have a DYE 2x frame and stock AIR valve. I used it last weekend and it seemed to work fine. By next week, however, I will have a retro valve. Some people have warned me that I will have lots of problems using the retro + DYE 2x. Is this true? What problems will I face? So in a way, is the only effective way to run a retro valve with stock AGD frame or AGD I-frame? Please help me guys. If problems are unavoidable, I guess I could put some money down for an I-frame. Thanks!
Will I have probs using DYE 2x with retro valve? If so, what?

You'll be fine. All mag triggers are doing is pushing a little pin...frames are all about comfort, and as long as they are machined to even close to specs and they feel OK you will be fine with itComment

Ok, thanks guys! Because some people were saying the mag is built to such low tolerances that anything non AGD will cause it to work improperly. Adding retro, they said, worsened the situation. Thanks guys, you'd saved me some money

If it works with the AIR, it will work with retro. Dye frames are known for horrible tolerances and although they work well if you got a good one, if you don't its pretty much useless.

"Also, Diamond Labs or Dye frames invalidate the warranty and will require a $45 rebuild fee. Benchmark and, of course, our own Intelliframes will not invalidate the warranty if they have not been modified."
I would be leary of purchasing a DYE frame after reading this from the AGD warranty. Obviously AGD doesn't think much of DYE frames.Comment
