    Shots/68CI,45K

How many shots would I get per fill from a 68 Cubic inch, 4500psi nitro tank, set at 450psi output pressure?

    At 450 output, none.

I assume you're talking about running the tank on a mag. Even though the AIR valve regulates down to about that pressure, you're going to need a higher pressure going into the marker.

Raising your output pressure will not affect the number of shots you'll get.

    A 68 4.5K will get you around 900-1100

      450 too low?

Why's 450psi for an output too low if that's what the operating pressure of a mag is? I don't really understand this. If 450's too low, then what output pressure would I need, and why doesn't this effect the number of shots per fill? Thanks for the help.

The Pressure you have going into the marker is being regulated again by the Mag valve (it's a regulator).

Since you want a few hundred PSI between regs to allow proper recharing, 650 or higher will be fine.

You won't use more air for two reasons.

A, You're regulating it down again in the valve
B, Pressure and volume are related. If you increase the pressure, the volume needed will decrease.

So you'll be filling the valve with a faster burst of higher pressure air, instead of a longer burst of lower pressure air.

Either way you're still using the same amount.
