I was wondering how many people aim down the side of the barrel vs. directly over the top (like a rifle). Which is more effective and what are the pros/cons of each?

I point the gun and shoot til it hits what i want it to. I cannot really describe it, i kinda adjust if i need to, i dont even think about it anymore.

I aim down the side of the barrel at the very beginning of my shot(s), then adjust as I shoot.Mercenaries Black

I don't really "aim", I "point" off of instinct, then use the paint I fire as tracers and correct my aim from there, its quick, and effective.

Because of my setup (warp, with warp left body), i can't do either. What I do is shoot as close as I can to the person, see where that shot hits, then move my gun accordingly for the next shots.GOOD TRADERS - Tunaman, tysonmachado, DanielGleason, BigBoy005, jimmyjobob, miniMAGster, paintballpapa, ChucktheMAGician, CLeatus, Doc Nickel, pbdeluca, ClassicMagger, Dueydog

I aim down the left side of my marker if i'm popping out the right side and vice versa if i'm popping out the left side.
Whats the sense in looking over the top of your marker unless your have warp feed.Automag P/F

With my RT-Pro and now my E-mag, I can't "aim" due to the power feed being in the way ( I have a hopper right setup).
For close range (within 50 feet): I snap shoot and aim with my left index finger. I would grip the forward grip with my left hand and hyper extend my left index finger to align it with the barrel. Anything I point to gets hit.
For long range: I usually sight down the barrel on the left side of the marker.
I've gotten great results.

I use the side of the barrel to aim and then I try to get a beat on my target.

A.i Open up both eyes
B.I migh tsight down the side, or rock my gun and site the top. (my guns vert feed)
C. i shoot by feel
d. im bunkering someone so i just point
if i had a right feed gun id just aim over the top, i think its better. If i had a hopper right powerfed mag, then my hose would be blocking the right side siteing, the plug would be blocking the left, so where do i site? WHO KNOWS! id just point and hose, or bunker a lot.** Your image was deleted because a huge ass "protection image" comes up. The site hosting that image doesnt allow for other sites to pull from it. Like Angelfire. So host it some where else or maybe attach it to a friendly corner post and link it from there. Sorry and thanks. - Webmaster **

I sight down the side of my barrel as I point it for the inital shots and trail my paint more precicely onto my target. Mind you, my aim/ability to effectivly 'point' the gun in the right direction off the bat is pretty decent
