AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Emag Conversions are Finally Here!! And at a Special Deal!!!
My guess is someone (Admin or Mod) un-stickied it. Wether by accident or on purpose. It also is a timed thing I think. If you like I will sticky it back up for all to see? Would that make you feel better?
AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!
Naah! It is not necessary. I was just a little worried that the program was over before I could take advantage of it. The stock market swinging the way it is and the fact that I am in the military, I am waiting till I get paid on the 28th to send my RT Pro in for the program upgrade to an E-mag. Thank you for the offer though.
Its still available as far as I know. A patriotic thing to do I should think! keeping on with our lives is a "good thing"
Since you are Military...email me and I will give you a special email address to discuss this with AGD directly to work out your payday delema. Its what Tom would want I am sure.

How long will you be running this deal? I have a Mag I would love to send in but I don't have the cash right now. I will probablly have it by Christmas but not till then.
If you have to go back to the regular price by then, How much will it cost?
Don't try running, you will only give me a better story!
I have an Automag valve (not ReTro). What would be the benefit to placing this valve into an E-Mag conversion? Wouldn't the slower recharge rate take away a lot of the benefits of having the electro-pneumatic trigger assembly?
You know I was wondering that myself. I am sure it would limit it a bit. But I was also thinking that this would still be a good idea for a later upgrade to a Retro Valve would be so simple then. I say you be the Guinea Pig Ben_JD!

$650 for the upgrade of my Automag to a non-ReTro E-mag;
$200 for the replacement of my valve with ReTro valve; and
$130 wasted on the Intelliframe I have just received.
$850 for a pieced-together E-Mag versus $900 or $950 for one that was built as a unit as well as an Intelliframe that I cannot use.
I think I'll sit this one out unless someone can give me a good reason.
I'd probably have the cash around Christmas, or if I could pull some strings (GRANDMA!) maybe Halloween - Thanksgiving at best, but I've got a big question - I have a Smart Parts Magic Box on my AIR Vavle. I suffer from shootdown, a common symptom with these upgrades. Would it be worth it to go ahead and upgrade that Valve and Bolt, or more to the point - would it help with the problem, and would the assembly on the outside of the ASA adapter cause any problems with fitting it on? I had to shave a good 1/2 inch by an inch into my current 'Mag body to get it to fit... *sigh*...
To answer the question about using the stock valve in the Emag body. Go to the HALO site and look at the first video, it is using the stock valve on a Hyperframe at 13 bps. We are doing a stock valve conversion right now, if you want wait to hear from him on the forum.
Originally posted by ben_JD Cool, just wanting to see what the difference would be. What would the effect of "Hybrid" mode be on a stock conversion to E-Mag?
I'm just guessing here, but i would think that it would feel reactive. The reason is, the pull is still a very short and light electronic pull but even though there is no ReTro valve pushing it, the stock trigger return is still harder than the amount of energy pulled. Make sense?
I do own an Automag with the Pro-Mag upgrade by John Sosta (done in '93) and I just got myself the extreme Modular Body. How much for the e-Mag upgrade? And will there be any Problems with the Pro-Mag Valve?
