I had just played with my Micromag with a retro valve and I noticed the jumpy readings off of the chrono. I had used a short barrel (8") and a longer barrel (12") and I had different readings from each barrel. You may want to try switching barrels. As far as chopping paint goes, out of 1500 rounds I must have chopped twice. Once because the revvy was off...and the second was when I had short stroked.

Then it sounds like you are out-shooting your loader. It is pretty easy to do with the retro and such a short feed tube. If you can afford it, get a Halo. That should fix your problems!

Never had a problem. But I've only played with it twice. Probably shot 2k balls. Yesterday I pulled 12 bps off the chrono so I'm pretty happy. Immagine what it would be like with a 2X frame.
