AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
What happens when we perfect the paintball marker?
The paintball marker will always be "evolving" so to speak. As perfect and flawless as any future, or present marker may be, there will always be someone, somewhere, who will want something more, and who will drive the machine onward.
The "toaster" comment is unrealistic, but so true. No matter how good something is, its never perfect. There's always that guy who wants to eat a nice toasted English Muffin as he bunkers you at the '50
First, it will never happen. Everyone will always try to "improve" on the gun. But the company who makes it has to make a choice:1) make it low cost, but good and help the sport alot or 2)over capitilize and not help the sport
if 1 the sport will boom, prosper, and lead on to many other things, if 2 the sport will just be as it is
"AGD, God's gift to paintball"
"Screw the gnomes, nail WDP in the balls and get a AGD gun"
There is a slim to nill that this will ever happen. There will always be something thta is new for paintball. Competition between companies will not end the creation of a newer or better marker. Even if they do creat the perfect marker people will not always accept that. Some people will not really want that. Look at the cocker it is not a perfect marker right out of the box. It takes time and money to get it to its peak. There is a lot of tweeking going on to to do that. Then there is the angel or e-mag which are ready out of the the box. They still will have problems at one time or another. When they have moving parts or even wire connections that still can fail or break.
The paintballs themselves will have to improve. They are too big and are too adversly affected by wind/temperature/humidity etc. The paintballs are the biggest hinderence in our sport. Thats just what I think.
