Once you have shot and eliminated someone, you have established your position towards them. In a sense, the next move is up to them...

I am the king of fog!
Back in the day, when I had my ancient PMI X Ray, I could go from zero to fog in less then ten seconds of playing.
I tried everything: thermal inserts, baby shampoo, and even a home-made fan. Not much better. Finally, I wised up and bought a Flex 7.
Good? Yeah. Example: I was outside in 85 deg heat, massive humidity, working hard to build bunkers on our custom made paintball field. Three hours later, I had yet to see even a hint of fog! It is a beautiful creation.

If looking for a new mask, get a Vforce Shiled or morph, or get a JT Proteus.Comment

I think the way thermal lenses work is that between the two lens panes there is nitrogen held in by the panes and the sealing foam, and once there is a signifigant scratch or leak in the foam, the nitrogen leaks out and the mask fogs.
I thinkk.

I would think they'd use a vacuum like the double-paned windows at your house. Or else they'd use moisture-filtered air (0% humidity). In either case, its not about whatever is inside getting out, its about moisture getting in. Once normal air gets in, then theres moisture in there that can condense on the lense.Originally posted by TylerDurden

Why the INNER lense itself doesn't fog still doesn't make any sense to me, why not just make the whole lense out of that stuff and then you don't have a problem, right?

It looks to me like its just foam on the edges inbetween the panes of a thermal lense. I think it just has a space of air inbetween to keep the temperature from being really different or something. But then again im probably completely wrong...as usual.

You can make a custom little fan setup for any mask. Much cheaper and much more effective than an x-wind fan.

Two "computer style" fans from radio shack mounted in the visor work well. That gives you one over each eye. That is what I use.
