    Ricochet Hopper Covers

    Ok,

I called everywhere and cant find a cover for the Rico. Ricochet Developement says its due to NPPL rules, but I am still in search for one.

I later decided to try use a 12v Revy Cover and modify it, but found it too small. So now Im onto the stage where I have to custom make one out of Neoprene, but find that the fabric shops here in Hawaii dont sell neoprene.

What can I do? My GF said use leopard skin or pink fluffy mateiral for bounces, but... Ill leave that as a last resort.

    Help me out guys.

Using material to improve your chances of a hopper bounce is exactly why hopper covers are against NPPL rules (as well as a little cheap). I don't think you are going to find Rico covers.

I fully understand that NPPL doesnt allow covers for bouncing reasons. I hardly get breaks on my hopper anyway. If my hopper sticks out a little too far and they hit it from a direct front angle, the ball will just leave a slight paint spray trail. Im still alive.

The main reason I want this is to keep me gear damage free. I dont want scratches on my gun, tank, even my hopper. Its the main reason why ppl put covers on their tanks. The Rico being the only plastic part on my gun setup, it scratches fairly easily when sliding/diving into my bunker. I want to keep it scratch/crack free. Thats all.

Hmmm... Im not too sure about that rule. Yes paint does "nick" my hopper, but when the other guy is yelling to the refs to check my hopper and they see nothing but a faint paint mist on my Rico, I think that is grounds enough to keep me in the game.

No Mark = No Elimination, right?

That's true. If you don't have a clean brake on your hopper then there is no need to leave the game.

Of course you should never wipe but if there isn't a quater size mark then you aren't out. I guess in a rec game you can just leave but in a tournament you should never leave unless you are sure you are out.
