Emag electric/mechanical modes

just curious for all you Emag owners, since i'm interested in getting an Emag. if your Emag's electronics die or the batteries run out, exactly what do you have to do to switch to mechanical mode? if the batteries are dead, couldn't you just hit the selector switch and then start rocking and rolling again? or would you actually have to remove the battery? and whats the deal with the yellow key?

All you have to do is change the selector switch to manual and you'll have a fancy RT, but at least you'll be able to shoot yourself for not remembering to charge your battery on the ride to the field.

The yellow pin is there to 'disconnect' the battery while it's still attached to the gun. It basically disconnects one of the connectors for the battery.

There is a specific reason why Tom chose this type of an on/off switch, I think its because the battery is 18 volts and a normal switch wouldn't be able to handle the load effectively, but I could be wrong.

The Yellow key is just like the key on an angel. Its an on/off switch for the electronics. If the key is out, you can fire it electronically, if the key is in, the gun may only be used in mechanical mode. If the battery dies, all you have to do is put the yellow key in, (which turns off the electronics) and switch it to mechanical. You can leave the battery pack where it is. If you flip the switch to mechanical and dont put the key back in, it will shoot in hybrid mode. Hybrid mode gives you the trigger pull of electronic with the reactive trigger of mechanical. As you could imagine, this lets you shoot incredibly fast. Almost full auto. You will run out of paint fast and break paint fast if you use this without a halo or warp feed. Hope this helps.

Your wrong as always. Just kidding. The yellow pin was also taken over the switch because if they break you're screwed, Basicaly. Other wise good job you are a smart cookie and can rememer how to switch to manual, unlike Mr. 13bps in Mardi Gras.

battery dies... put key in, switch to mechanical mode, you have a RT trigger. It doesn't have to be in any specific order.

No you dont have to put the pin in. IN teh case where the warp is linked from teh emag, it will still send that 5v pulse to the warp so it will still work, the emag wont work right at less than 14v but thats pleanty of voltage for the warp link.
