i am looking at getting an automag. do u guys think that this is a good deal, or should i just buy a stock automag and then buy the upgrades for it?

I recently ordered that exact setup. I'm adding a PMI Perfect dropforward and a J&J Ceramic barrel to it. I don't think you can find a better deal on an Automag. I added everything up from PBgear's price list and if you bought everything seperately it would run about $100 more.

Mine's due to arrive tomorrow, and I'm about to go crazy waiting for the weekend to arrive. The weather better cooperate!

This looks to be a decent deal for what you get, but you might be better suited getting a classic 68 powerfeed and adding your own upgrades at your own pace.
All you're really getting out of this package is a vertical ASA adapter and a macroline setup, it fails to say you're getting a barrel or a gas thru, which are pictured above the description.
Check your local retailers and you'll probably find a good deal on just a stock Mag. Upgrades can vary in price quite a bit, so you can do some bargain hunting from there.

The only difference between that and a Minimag, is the minimag has the longer body. Otherwise you just bought a mini with a gas-thru and barrel. The mini however, is 388.88 at 888-paintball.com

i bought that TKO package about 3 weeks ago and i love it . i got a shocktech drop with it. it can come with a variety of barrels like, stock RT, tear drop ect... all the barrels cost about the same. its a great deal and worth it

that seriously has to be the most popular automag setup around. one of my frineds bought that so he could be on our team a lil while ago. and since I've been on AO I've seen about 20 topics like this. IMO i think its a great deal.

hey, thanks a lot for all the input. ive got a few more q's for any one who has bought this set up: what kind of drop forward should i get?, cause i hear that the gas thru grip gets in the way.
and do i need to get a different gas thru grip?

I got a TKO too.. Guess everyone has one. Not like mine though Anyway I am very impressed with the setup I got. I think I paid like 599$ with a 3k flatline tank with the gun. So its a very good deal. Have fun with it.. no copying :P

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Do you know how long I waited for that gun to be in stock? I finnaly just gave up and bought all the extra parts from their site and the standalone gun and guess what there now in stock I have the worst luck i swear. I guess i did get a better barrel...
