How many shots with a 68/4500 tank using a matrix?

I am gonna get a matrix, but i heard the only bad thing about them is they are gas hogs. I was just wondering how many shots you get out of a 68/4500 tank, cause i gotta decide whether i should get a 68 or 88 cu.

you should be able to get atleast 4 pod s and a hopper, add two more pods if you get a bolt kit. go with the bigger tank, I am going to get a 90cu, tank for mine soon.

your count will vary with velocity, barrel etc might be better might be worse

Don't know much about Martrices, but i'm pretty sure the bolt kit consists of a new lighter bolt and different o-rings that provide less fricition.

Matrices are great guns. My favorite electros. I am purchasing one soon too. They are gas hogs stock, but that is easy to fix. A bolt kit increases effiecency by 33% and with a trinity mod, your effiecency increases even more and your bolt stops on balls instead of chopping them. Bolt Kits replace that whole upper chamber of your Matrix with the bolt, tophat, etc. and provide better gas-efficency by about 33%. They pretty much just fix the many flaws in the stock bolt that cause bad gas-effieciency. Aardvark wont tell us exactly how they work but it has something to do with more effiecienly transfering the air through the bolt or something.

RushA you don't really NEED any upgrades out of the box,
it's just a compulsion that we all suffer from.

If you get an LCD version (released any day now) it will
already have the improved bolt assembly
The assembly improves air consumption and corrects a few
weaknesses that the original bolt had.
Airtech bought the design from Aardvark so it is the same bolt.
In that case the trinity or PBC bolt reg is the next step

If you buy an led version than first upgrades are the improved bolt and trinity.

Volumizers on a matrix are purely for looks (and are sold that way) so do or don't as your eyes need.


barrels are pretty tubes that screw into the end of the
marker. the stock one is fine to start with.(said the freak kit owner).

The snort barrel is supposed to be excellent. But out of the box, I would not worry about a new barrel. Stock they come with OTP barrels, they used to come with CP barrels, you might still be able to find one with a CP. Either way, both are good barrels. I would work on getting yourself a bolt kit, and a trinity mod. As steve stated, the Matrix LCD is coming out soon, and will include the mods out of the box. But the price will also be higher and my guess is it will come with alot of useless crap. I know ill just be sticking with the LED matrix.
