revy eating batteries

hey my 12v revy has been eating up my 9v's. i have to change them after every day of play...usually the last game my low batt light turns on and it works inconsistantly. if i get one of those x boards or whatever will that eleminate my problem? also which one is best and how hard are they to install. also halo/richochet are out the question because i dont have enough money for one of those. even though i would love a halo. thanks

buy rechargeable batteries(nimh) its the best way plus they seem to last longer for me.
