The aluminum bigshot and question about polishing.......

I can't find an aluminum bigshot in a chrome silver color, only black. I guess under the black coating the barrel is silverish? So can i strip theblack coat off the barrel and polish it up?

Anyone ever try this? I didn't want the stainless steel one because of the extra weight. I figured the above was possible.

Also what should i use to polish?

Basically the only way you can have a shiny aluminum barrel is if you clear coat it. Otherwise you get a raw aluminum barrel covered in oxide and your internal bore no where as smooth as it was when it was anodized.
