I really want to subscribe to a paintball magazine. What is the best one if I am interested in getting into tourney paintball? I have read Action Pursuit Games and I like their tourney articles and different things but it seems that they focus more on recball. I want more articles on how to be a better tourney player and what skills I should have and work on. I love playing recball with my brothers and having a few articles on recball and skills to play better ball are great, but I am more interested in tourney ball. I haven't been to any tourneys and information on how to enter, compete and win are what I a looking for. Thank you for your time.

Its PGI
Paintball Games International is dabomb if you are into the tourney scene. I've read more useful tactical info there than anywhere. I get APG and they are good for newbies and they have the best ads - but PGI has the most in-depth articles.

Heheh...i was just about to suggest apg magazine to you. good magazine. i like the thing but i find that their arent to many mags in that magazine. too many autococker and tippmans. while both are good guns, id love to see more automags.
I dont necessarily agree that apg for newbies. in every new issue i pick up new tips and tricks that i didnt know and have really come in handy. it goes into depth about tournys themselves but not many tips for tourny players.

Is there a PB Mag that has "HONEST" reviews of equipment? When I say honest, I mean if the item is a "piece of junk" then state it is a "piece of junk". It seems that most mags won't say anything derogatory about any equipment because those same manufacturers advertise in their publications and don't want to risk losing advertising revenue. It always seems like they only report the "positive" on anything, I have never seen anyone say to avoid buying the equipment. This is just my observation.A WORK IN PROGRESS

Try www.paintballreview.com if you can filter out the junk from the worthwhile opinions, or Ravi's paintball articles.
