I play rec ball,play with the same paint, and i platy at the same field. Question is what makes the freak so good? Just curious cause $200 is kinda expensive for a barrel.

actually,dont get the kit,just get 1 barrel,and 1 insert...ask someone who has a freak which insert works the best,and buy that one.......it will only be like the price of a boomy(120 or so)Comment

Several of us have freaks and mostly shoot the same kind of paint 99% of the time (rp). So we RARELY ever mess with changing bore sizes.Thanks,

I'd say flexibility. Paint changes size due to weather or temperature or if for some reason you just happen to switch paint you'll be ready with the different bore sizes. Most people end up using 3 sleeves at most.Comment

i would reccomend against the feak for you. it's not necesary to have that kind of flexibility if you're only playing with one kind of paint. i'd find out what bore size the paint you play with is and then use this chart to figure out which barrel will work best.

what makes the freak the best barrel?...
ok, i have a couple things to say on that. the freak is really good for about 2 reason.
1. when ever you go to a tourny away from where you usually play, they might NOT have the same paint you used to and it will PROBABLY NOT match ur barrel(it could, but prob not) and if you can change the bore of your barrel to MATCH the paint, then you safe, if not, then you....wel.... screwed.
2.ok, the freak has a really cool option. you can get different length tips for it in different colors. say you and you friends decided that ya'll just wanted to play on a speedball field and you wanna play with your 10in tip ok, you get there, play a couple games, and some of your other friends show up and they wanna play on the wooded field, well, since you have a freak you just unscrew the 10in tip and screw in your 14in tip or what ever you think will do the job.

"the best" is all opinion, i think the cp kit is better.** Your image was deleted because a huge ass "protection image" comes up. The freak costs a pretty penny doesn't it? I mean the cheapest I can find it is for like $130 for a complete barrel with back,front, and insert.
I mean how much more can that outperform my $60 j&j ceremic....Comment

well went and played with it shot large proball paint used the .695 insert after trying .691 .693. Played with it for a couple games and i havta say i wasn't the least bit impressed in it, the stock barrel put the 200 dollar barrel to shame. Maybe it's not a proball barrel, i'll shoot quake out of it next chance i get i get.

The unlisted option of "Its not the best" I went away from the freak and got a CP kit and couldnt be happier. One too many stories of this piece or that of the freak bending/breaking/broke? Not fer me...
