Well there's a little story behind that, so now sit down around the campfire and I'll share...
Once upon a time, one of my friends and I decided that we needed to buy ourselves agitated loaders. The local field was selling 12v Revvies for $50, so we each bought one. They worked okay, except that mine tended to eat through batteries like Homer at the all-you-can-eat seafood place. Then, after roughly a month, my friends loader quit working entirely. A day later, mine quit working entirely. Needless to say, that kind of turned me off to the idea of getting a new Rev, but unless I go really easy, there's no way I can play without an agitated loader. Now, we all know that the Halo is the best loader available, and that its capabilities far outstrip the requirements of any Spyder. However, we also know that not many people stay with a Spyder for any extended period of time, least of all myself (I really just don't like Spyders). So, knowing that I would eventually end up getting one anyway, I decided to go ahead and buy the Halo instead of buying a Ricochet or something and then getting one later.
Besides, when I had my Rev, I did, on occasion, still chop paint from outshooting the loader. No, that is not a claim that I can shoot 10+ a second (I have had people think that I was using an E-frame, but that was not during a game, just sitting there seeing how fast I could shoot
). The loader obviously had problems, but it would feed around 9-10 per second when just dropping paint. The Halo, on the other hand, emptied itself of 180 (yes I counted, I was bored and curious) paintballs in nine-point-I-don't-remember seconds. I can fan the trigger to my heart's content without ever having to worry about outshooting the loader, and I know that I won't need to upgrade my loader when I replace my gun. So, yes, I guess you could say that it floats my boat.
