I know I'm gonna get ripped a new one for this, but I don't like it. Two reasons, mostly. If these could get fixed, I'd love it just like everyone else. First of all, that notch in the body exposes way too much of the valve. It would be fine if the valve was all one surface and not stepped like it currently is. The other problem I have is that the barrel sits too high up off the battery case, which I agree should be lightly milled. I'd like to see some better grips on it, too, so dye had better get off their collective duff and make some! Other than that, it's pretty darn sweet, but I'd rather have a normal extreme then have someone do the milling. That frosty anno job is tasty looking, though!

This is our first C&C design. We wanted to make this first one, very light, and mill off as much excess as was physically possible, and we based this on requests from you guys. We will produce different designs, in limited runs, the next one will probably be more cosmetic based.
Each design is very expensive to produce, particulatly in the design stage, so it would be nearly impossible for us to make small chnages for individual orders.
Everyone has different tastes, so we have to go with the design that appeals to the majority.
We will eventually offer a limited run of C&C Battery packs & frames, along with the circular battery pack and blade trigger, but it won't be for awhile, as we're swamped at the moment milling this C&C design.

                    Just an idea I had...

You should use a SS sleeve on the valve that sits up against the step in the valve, so it looks like a continuous cylinder. I can definitely see why people would not like that visible step in the valve. I think a sleeve would be a good idea. You could probably use Al too, but I don't know if the colors would match, and if you anno'd it to match the gun it would look weird.

Thordic, already thought of and being looked at.

It may be possible to have colour coded sleeves which we can cut through to and thus hi-light the inside of the milling :)

I'm just finishing the CNC code for my gun body which will allow us to test this out.

You still havn't made your weird lookin extreme? Get to it, man! We all want to see :)

Good to hear about the sleeves, though. I think something that simple might do a lot for the looks of the gun. I, for one, really like the way its cut, and if that step wasn't there, all the better.

When Manike first came up with this design, we were looking at the possibility of implementing a valve with a larger air chamber, that did not have the "step" down on it. That valve would have been a smooth continuous valve, so there would not have been any step visible. Since then, with the evolution of Lev 10, we have found that the low pressure valve isn't as necessary, and as it is not as gas efficient as the std valve, we will most likely go with the current valve.
The inside of the Xtreme bodies are different for each of these valves. For the standard step down design, we have a step inside the body for the valve to butt up against.
To use a sleeve over the std valve, the inside of the body would have to be reamed open. We might also have problems holding the sleeve in position, particularly as it would need an acurate hole in it for the on/off assy.

Jsut a note that Drop on that Blue C&C is Abob Long Apoc Drop. They have just enough to make the gun not long and give you an awsome shooting stance. Very very repeteable and comphy.

I just has to take that Shocktech 5.5" drop off it was fugly and icky to shoulder. While i had the gun I was thinking about breaking it in correctly but that was shot down by Tom :)

                            Anyway

We plan to offer the Circular battery packs, Blade triggers, C&C Battery packs & the C&C Frames in the future, but not straight away, as we will be running our CNC Mill to capacity just C&Cing the bodies initially.
