im just curious why does every one seem so reluctant to adjust the sear, or firing, pin? i offered that in past threads, and it seems everyone thinks its a bad idea. just wonderin.

i dont know why people are so reluctant about adjusting the sear or trigger rod... if it doesnt work and cant get it back to normal, just buy a new one... or steal a friends

grinding the sear to shorten trigger pull removes the hard outer coating on the sear and causes faster wear of the sear. other than that, count the threads on the rod so you know where it was to begin with then experiment all you want.i grinded down my sear some to make the trigger pull lighter

Mainly its to keep your guns tolerances in order.. once you change the length of that pin.. it can cause leaks or chops etc. You're not gonna die if you do it.. your mag may but you won't
Just make sure to make it good just in cae you can't get it working you can always go back to the stock length. I think I'm gonna tinker with mine.
*EDIT* Grrr rjvemt1.. got to it before me
