UPGRADED E-mag Valves, What is the dif?

OK, i know that old e-mag valves had an aluminum on off assy, then they changed that to brass, Then there was a quad o-ring inside of another oringm, now i here i have to send my e-mag in again to have it upgraded so that there is olny one quad o ring in the bottom of the on off. Why do i have to do this? what does it offer to me compared to how my e-mag is now? why does it have to be done?

as far as I know there is no diffrence. I have an aluminum on offed e-mag don has a brass on offed e-mag they shoot exactly the same.

Original E-Mags before about serial number 1000 had aluminum on/off tops, .725 pins, and just a quad o-ring
New E-Mags have an all brass on/off assembly, .712 pin and a quad o-ring and a urethane o-ring. That's about all I know and why they changed I'm not positive on. Sorry.

I think it had more to do with standardization why make aluminum and brass on/offs when they can make brass on offas and use them for all thier RT based guns.
