    BIG newb here- help?

Hey all this is my first post... I've been thinking of joining the mag world recently, and I have a few Q's for all you mag owners, and please keep in mind that I am a newb to mags, so my questions may seem stupid.

1)Which mags have an A.C.E.? From what I know, the shocktech SFL and the extreme e-mag have them, right?
2)Is the level 10 mod a modification for any mag? As in, if you bought a mag before the level 10 was released, could you send your gun in to have the level 10 mod done to it?
3)Is AGD ever planning on releasing an A.C.E. mod for all mags? I saw a pic in the Prototype Lab on AO, but that's all I know about it. I've heard about in the future that level 10s will come with an A.C.E. Is this true? If so I'd definitely want to wait for one.
4)Does AGD still do RT>Emag conversions? I really want an emag but I can't afford one yet, and was thinking of getting an RT pro, then just upgrading it later.

Finally, I wanted to know if the RT pro was a good gun. To me it looks pretty good, and it's moderately priced (under a grand). Should I save up for an emag instead? Unfortunately it might take me a few months to do so... right now I own a spyder, which I've been looking to sell, so I can buy a mag. Thanks in advance.

Right, the Extreme, and the SFL are the only mags that i know of that will have the ACE.

2)Is the level 10 mod a modification for any mag? As in, if you bought a mag before the level 10 was released, could you send your gun in to have the level 10 mod done to it?
The lvl10 mod will fit ALL existing mags, and can be done by yourself without any special tools.

ACE can only be put on eMags because with a mechanical gun, there would be no way to stop the gun from firing.

4)Does AGD still do RT>Emag conversions? I really want an emag but I can't afford one yet, and was thinking of getting an RT pro, then just upgrading it later.
Im not 100% on this, but i think that they will do the eMag upgrade as long as you dont have an old school RT

Lastly, the RTP is a great gun, low maintnance, high ROF, and AGD has great service and support. I plan on getting one for myself soon.

1)The extreme WILL have them...I do not think the SFL odes but will and can.

2)Yes to any Mag. Send it in or do it yourself. AGD says it will be user friendly as far as doing it with simple tools.

3)All electronic mags like the emags. You have to have a board to run it. And of course the body to hold it in.

4)I do not know you can call them and ask. However its not realy practicle for you to spend $700 and then have to spend over $500 too get what you could spend $300 now to do and jsut get the emag in the first place. Or buy used emag now and save yourself some money in the long run. The RT pro is a nice stand alone by itself and many are happy with it. I would leave it alone myself as it performs real well.

      And by the way...

AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!

        1. yes, only sfl and extremes have a.c.e. from what i know

        2. the lvl 10 mod will be for any mag. u just buy it on the website (when it comes out) they send it to u, and u put it on ur mag

        3. u need to have an electro

        4. from what i knwo they do not do it anymore

        5. well first of all, buying an rt pro and then converting it into an emag would be about the same price as an emag. my suggestion would be to save up $700 or so, and look for a used emag in the classifieds forum. the rt pro is a great gun. it has the benefit of the wonderful retro valve, and the amazing intelliframe. have u ever shot either before?? if not, try shoot them or play a game w/ them and then make ur decision

EDIT: two ppl posted while i was posting........stupid 54 words per minute

Thanks for all your help everyone. I haven't had a chance to shoot an RT pro or an E-mag yet, unfortunately, I've heard mixed reviews about the e-mag, and nothing but good things about the RT pro. One of my main attractions to the RTP is that it's a reliable gun that will have a good ROF that I wouldn't be afraid to take out in the rain. The e-mag is a different story, though. How tight is the e-mag sealed and such? I wouldn't want any exposed circuit boards or anything if I played on a very humid day or in the rain. If the e-mag can withstand high moisture levels and the rain, I'll definitely save up for one. They look like really nice guns, especially since you can switch from electro to manual. Oh and is there a release date for the e-mag extreme yet? Thanks once again for all of your help.

Darklord, if you are looking for a new RTP for that money, but want an emag....look here in the classifieds. Ppl here sell emags occasionally for the price range of a new RTP. As far as shooting the emag in the rain....just turn the electronics of and shoot it RT style. Thats the true beauty of it...works when other electros dont. Just make sure that it is dry next time you use it. I played a 1/2 day in the drizzle with mine, no probs at all (except for bad paint/high humidity, causing ball breakage). for around $700 you can pick up a used emag from someone here...just ask around about traders first if ytou are unsure who you are deealing with.
                X-mag #10. Nuff said.

Hey, thanks again guys. Thanks, pip
I'm definitely going to sell my spyder now and get a used emag. I can't believe how much money I wasted on that thing.... oh well. Once again, thanks to everyone!

I would agree with Old Soldier.

If you are worried about a deluge causing problems, just use the retro mode. I have heard about people playing in big rain storms without problems, though.

The best gun on the market is a used Emag. People sell for as little as 520! The valves are indestructible, the electronics can be fixed without too much hassle.

                    The hybrid mode is incredible!

I would love to have a SFL or Extreme, but can't justify the step up in cost for what is essentially the same gun.

I would Go Retro but do it by buying a used Emag!

$520 for a used e-mag? wow, I'd REALLY like to know where I could find that kind of deal .... I guess I have to browse the classified a little more often. I've decided upon the e-mag after hearing everyone's feedback.... I might buy the RT in case I can't find a suitable deal for an e-mag. Well, thanks again, everyone, you've been really helpful in my decision. Hopefully I can get a mag within a few months! I hate having to work to get money , but oh well. Thanks everyone!
