New ReTro Valve Question (Level 10)

    Hey Everyone,
I just received my new ReTro Valve upgrade, and noticed something different. The powertube tip is somewhat sloped, instead of stepped like the one on my AIR valve. Is this a Level 10 thing, or just something AGD did on the ReTro Valves?

Also, is Level 10 going to be standard on the AIR, Retro, and RT valves? I was wondering since I got my ReTro Valve so close? to the release of Level 10, would I qualify for a reduced (or free?) upgrade or anything. Just curious.

EDIT: OMG! This thing (ReTro Valve) is AMAZING! I now have a mouse click trigger. Stock ReTro Valve, Stock Long Nose Bolt, Stock Sear, all unmodified, with iFrame! WOW! Best upgrade yet! Woot!

    Thanks ~ Dave

Seeing as the Level 10 upgrade hasn't been released, it's highly unlikely that you have by chance gotten one. But, yes, later they will be standard on all AGD markers, it's part of a revamping they're doing to all the 'guns. You might be able to get a reduced upgrade, but I wouldn't bet on it. Call and ask for better info on that. Glad you like your new 'RT'!

The stepped powertube tips are rather old, and no longer made. The progressive curved ones are now standard, and were designed to steadily apply the air pulse to the ball, instead of letting it all out in one big burst. Ill post pics in a moment.

The tip on the left, came with my MinimaG valve, the other came with my ReTro Valve. Both are identical, and fit into both valves.

If you still use your A.I.R. valve, and plan on buying a Level 10 mod for your RT, you may wish to put the RTs stock tip on your A.I.R. valve.

        On/Off Top?

Also, you might want to try taking a look at your A.I.R. Valves On/Off top, if it only works if you put it in one way, and doesnt look like the one in the pic ive included below, youve probably either got a aftermarket on/off top, or an older style AGD one. You might want to look into getting one from AGD.

The On/Off top in your A.I.R. Valve should resemble the upper portion of your ReTro Valves On/Off Assembly, except its seperate from the on/off bottom, unlike in the RT where the on/off top, and on/off bottom are combined into one.

Also, Congrats on the ReTro Valve, they are one of the single best upgrades you can put in your mag! Glad you like it!

WOW! Thanks for the info guys. Xzion, I traded in my AIR valve, so it doesn't really matter now. My AIR valve was a 38xxx i think, so it may have been a pretty old valve.

              Thanks Again ~ Dave
