Fire heading towards my favorite PB field!

Don't know if this is in national news, but there is a MAMMOTH fire in Colorado.. Currently about 80,000 acres ( because some dumb *** made an illegal campfire. ).

Well my favorite paintball field is in Sedalia which is right in the path of the fire right now. Last time I checked the fire fighting crews were not even trying to work on the front edge.. so it could be gone in a couple of days.. Or at least drastically recreated.

I'm about 50 miles away from the fire and it's been raining ash for 3 days.

    Sucks

Well that's a shame..but I am a little more concerend for the folks who's homes and livelyhoods are threatened.

One thing for certain is fire is a renewal process and eventualy the good from it will be seen. Hope everyone out there stays safe until it has it's way.

I am in Grand Junction, the smoke was so thick here Sunday that I couldn't see the mountains around us. We have about 4 different fires surrounding us right now, one is right around my friends house where we play sometimes. Another one burned around the exit on I-70 where we are trying to go play this weekend(Grand Mesa). Here are some links and pics if anyone is interested.

As far as I know, noone has been seriously injured so far, hopefully we will never see a repeat of the Storm King Mountain fire tragedy.

I'm sorry to hear about the fire. I hope everyone is okay.

There's a big fire on the Big Island that started on May 18th. It was sparked by lava and intensified heat. We had to fly firefighters from the mainland to help. So far 2580 acres have been consumed. Luckily, there are no homes or businesses in the immediate area, but our wildlife and rainforests are being affected.

oh man it is bad, i was playing at high plains paintball( kinda by limon) and on the road from DIA to there visability was even lowered and it made your eyes burn and it was a thick burning pine smell, and there wasnt a pine tree within seeing distance.
I live in laramie wyoming(26 miles from border of colo) and you can even feel light effects here.
            Its really sad.
