Stupid people

I work with alot of security forces(Air force Cops) at my job and this just came to my attention. One of the guys I work with has a troop, SrA Fayerd, who while he was back home on leave was looking down the barrel of his brothers new PB gun. Well the next thing he remembered was waking up coming out of surgery. Long story short the doctors basically told him sorry here's your glass eye, he's getting a medical discharge and on top of it with no benifits. Moral of the story don't be stupid.

WOW! That's sad. Sorry to hear that happened to him. Sometimes we tend to forget that even though a paintball gun isn't lethal, it doesn't mean it's not dangerous.

wow im sorry for 2 reasons, one that the man got hurt, and 2 look at the people fighting in our armed forces. Come on! my 5 yearold cousin knows not to look down the barrel of a gun. of any type! im sorry, i feel remorse, but god dang! you have to know these thigs. serriously. who here dosnt kno not to do that? hell i wear gogles even in the staging area because noobs forget to put the saftey in. any ways, who looks down a barrel?

Yea just goes to show stupidity is every where. Personally I'm not that sorry, for the simple fact that he pretty much earned it. Yea it's a hard lesson but oh well, it pays to think about what you do.

I look down the barrel all the time.

With no mask.

With the barrel completely removed from the marker.

Too stinking dark to see anything with it screwed in anyway.


Seriously though, it's never good to add another eye injury statistic to paintball.

I did that when I first got my first gun, good thing my friend's father (whoes been around gun since like the age of 3) pushed it away before anything happened. But what happened to that dude... that just sucks.

i feel sorry for him. I bet it is aweful having a glass eye. Also, probly the reason he has no benefits with the discharge is because he hurt himself out of stupidity.

I'm an x-special forces officer, and every single person who goes through any basic training knows not to look down the barrel of any instrument which deploys a projectile.

While I am saddened that he lost his perfect vision, he should be glad he still has any vision to talk of.

Folks, paintball markers are not toys and should be respected as such.

well, that sux, im still feeling lucky that when I shot myself in the eye(half broken ball came out of the back of my cocker and hit my eye) that it didnt mess up my vision...
