    Tom AGD parts in Canada

after a 2 month wait, I finally have a new sear.
It's a good thing that the Matrix has me at the moment
because that is a long time to wait.

Perhaps Tom, you could, or maybe even should, pick one or
two Canadian dealers, consign them spares (LVL 10 comes to
mind) so that I and other Canadian mag owners have a ready,
dependable, and economical source of spare parts and
    upgrades.

I do not consider the AGD online store a real option because
$US MSRP, shipping, brokerage/duty make the price
WAY too high compared to local price IF I can get the part.

This dealer(S) could be posted here and on Paul's site
    (PBCanada).

PS my local dealer is supplied by one of the big 3 toronto
stores. that is were the wait came from.

    thank you
    Steve

    Steve,

I am not sure this solves your problem. I am pretty sure that all parts going into canada are subject to taxes etc.

Badlands Toronto has a goodly stock of Mag spares. Try them The other 2 Toronto stores go from so-so (Premium) to frikkin horrible (Champions), so if your local store isn't ordering from Badlands, tell them to start.

Actually My it WAS badlands I (and a friend) ordered sears
plastic nubbins, and rt bumpers (we both own hyperframes)
as well as a parabolic PF plug, which never came.

I used to live in Toronto for the last 16 years so I know
all three stores. premium was my favorate as it was close to
home and I got on well with Trevor,Jeff and the guy's.
Badlands is the best source for mag parts
(strange because they put VERY little effort into selling them)

Tom are you aware that you online store doesn't even accept
        Canadian orders.

While price is relevant this is really about availability

People will not buy mags if parts are hard to find, and
in Canada by my experience that Is the case.

Import duty might or might not be charged. Brokerage fees
can be anywere from $C10-40 and is the same if I bought an e-mag or sear.
(this is charged by the courierfor handling the import paperwork) or no charge if sent by USpost.
Sales tax is charged only to me, the enduser and is payed
only once regardless of were it came from or how it got
        into my hands.

I'm surprised it too so long, Trevor & Brad usually maintain a good stock of parts.

Though I agree they have a large stock of parts, their stock of mag parts isn't so large and seems to be diminishing. They are also showing reluctance with dealing with AGD because of the length of time it takes for them to get stuff. I ordered a body and it took near a month to get into their hands. Does anybody know if there is some middleman that is slowing things down so much?

              Hmm...

You could always go to http://www.unlikeheroes.com

It's a Canadian site based out of

They carry quite a bit of AGD parts for the Mag. I don't know if they keep stock though. They do have quite a bit of positive feedback though.

Mag parts in Canada is a problem.
It is very difficult to find what you need this side of the border.

Jeff at unlikly heros is a good guy, but he dosen't stock most stuff and I'd bet Automag parts are not high priority for him to stock, so again there will be time delays.

The big problem is none of the major dealers (a very few small dealers) actually shoot AGD markers. Thus they don't carry parts for them and they promote other markers.

We need someone to become a "Canadian AGD Tech" and stock parts and such so that Canadians can have better access to AGD parts...
