    Do Halo B's work differently?

    Just got my HALO back from Odyssey. The new upgrade is MUCH quieter.

    However, with no balls in the hopper it runs for three seconds, stops for 1-2, then restarts and repeats. I assume this is part of the new programming?

    I'll try it on my gun this weekend, just wanted your thoughts.

      I believe the new generation halo's are belt driven rather than gear. This is because of some problems with the loader actually crushing and blending paint in the loader! Thats probably why its more quiet. I don't know much about them as I've never personally used one, but just make sure you keep paint in it

              I ran some allstar through mine last night with no problems. for the love of pete this thing feeds hella fast.

                      Ah. I read this earlier this morning. I was depressed because my halo was being upgraded, and I am playing this weekend also. Then joy. About an hour ago, I get that nice ding out front, and the mailman has brought my halo back. !!!
                      It is much quieter. Mine does the same thing with the feed/stop/feed thing when empty. Also, note the five bladed cone in there, compared to the two in the original. And the new ball stops. And the one push on, hold push button off. I think I like this. . .
                      Must see how it works this weekend on my warp. . .

                          the new ones are belt driven and have a couple different parts I THINK...dont quote me on that. they get better battery life and feed balls faster then the original if you can believe that.

                              I'm not sure...but didn't they change that stuff because BE sood them or something? for copying their design?

                                  No, they filed suit (or however you spell it) agaisnt them because it uses an optical eye. The Halo B's feed 22+bps.

                                          Does it cost any money to get ur hopper upgraded?, also about how long does it take for them to get it back to u if u ship it out to them on ground?

                                              $30 to upgrade, I had mine back exactly 13 days after I sent it.
