    Da' Freak

I bought one of the old freaks, is there anyway to trade in or up grade to the ss back or the new 2002 freak. I love but i would prefer ss instead of the black. And is the new freak better than the old freak.

      Here, this may help:
The new 2002 ss backs are very weak and don't hold up well against hard objects at a good velocity (ie, sliding into bunkers). if you're just looking for the "ss" look then you can remove the black anno from the aluminum back with drano. but if you really want the ss back then i'm sure that either your local pball store will have one, or you could call smart parts and they would have one.

      good luck, hope this helps.

Actually I do not believe you can get a 2002 freak back for a mag yet. That is if you are referring to a mag.

Other wise I don't know if my hourglass style freak back was special but I play very rough and I have never bent mine.

I have trouble with the whole concept of diving at times too....

There is no performance difference. The 2002 backs are much thinner, so they won't be as strong.
