    SFL Cocker 2002

Any one tried any of those? See the thing is, I am stuck in indecision. I was going to get an SFL E-Mag for grad...but there is no SFL E-Mags available. I hear the SFL Cockers are very very nice. And they shoot very fast, etc... A very professional and precise gun. But I've never really shot one (held one I have).
So basically, its like a couple month wait, for an SFL E-Mag, or a week wait for an SFL Cocker.
How well would they hold up, I'm not like any Cocker whizz, but I wouldnt screw around with it, so like would I have to worry about immediate problems or stuff goin down that I dont understand at all?
But I guess as long as I can just pop out from a bunker and snap shoot all nasty like with it, then its all good. Thought a high ROF is good too.
hah, any info on thesse things plz
lookin fer IR3 or Xtreme (C&C)

black RT Mag for sale. Great condition. Stock barrel, sanded bolt, I-frame, blade trigger. Extra parts, bolt spring, internals o-rings, extra hardline, nubbins, hardline. it doesnt break balls except on ppl. asking $450.

hmm u say u know nothing about cockers. to answer your questions about would it go down if u dont mess with it. the answer is yes. Autocockers run very differently from any other gun. The owner and user of an autococker must keep the gun in time so it functions to the best of its ability. Keeping a cocker in time is very easy if you know what your doing. If you dont, it is tough to learn by yourself so if you dont know anything about them and dont know any one who could help you. Stay away or buy one and learn how. Cockers do not frequently break but they do go out of time. This is where air smiths make all their money. Most people who shoot cockers have no idea how to time their gun and just take it to a local store to be "fixed" even if its not broken.

For cockers i dont know if I would recomend the SFL. My friends who shoot cockers all seem to say that SFLs arent that great. If your spending the money for a new SFL why not spend the same and custom order a Boxer Freeflow, which is possibly one of the nicest cockers on the market with a full lifetime warrenty. There are tons of cockers to buy.

Maybe u should just get a nice emag eh?

      hope this helps

        hmmm

Well. I know all the parts to the Cocker and such, and visit paintballravi.com and have read a lot about Cocker's and I kno a good deal of ppl at my field who could help me out.
I was thinkin just getting one, and selling it for like a good price, and at like X-mas just sell it and get eh newer SFL E-Mags. Its the wait though. I cant stand it. I've got the grad prezent so Its not like I'll lose anything but my RT(cash) to the SFL Cocker if I get it.
How often would a Cocker (SFL) slip out of timing? Mst adjustments are simple correct? What are the adjustments usually too?
What does the Boxer really have over the SFL?
How is the ROF on something like a Boxer or SFL? Say comparible to an RT? or faster. I can shoot my RT pretty fast, but not like I can an Angel.

you would probably shoot near what u can on your RT.

Cockers slip out of timing pretty easily and in order for them to function best they shot probably be timed before every day of play. Most Adjustments are minor. The adjustments are the knob on the front reg, the allen hole under the bolt that can be adjusted by sliding the right allen key into the hole on the top of the gun behind the feed tube. The final adjustment is the 3 way which doesnt need to be changed much i think. I think that is it.

Personally i think the boxer looks better than the SFL and it much more options than the SFL because it is custom built for just about the same price. Also the boxer has life time warrenty and you can send it in the get the newest freeflow parts when the guns are updated i think. Boxers also have much much better resale than the SFL

thats about what i know but im sure theres more things that are better

Timed before every day of play??? I time mine and dont touch them for months. My latest cocker was built by me, timed by me, and I havent touched it since I built it (in march I think). Shot 2 or 3 practices with it and the Challenge Cup.

Cockers are low maintenace if they are set up corectly. SFL's are very nice guns, but the only difference between cockers once you break the $800 range is looks. They all perform great. If you live close to Chicago, you cant go wrong with a Shocktech, if you live close to Pro-Paintball, go with a Freeflow..

As for the original question... Id wait for the CnC Extemes.. I even want one of those.

And heres a pic of my cocker (the low maintenace one)

yes.... no! dont go for the cocker, you will prolly regret it. I got one and loved it for the time being, but now that i have my e-mag, i love it. trust me, you will come back to mags. Then you will have realized you spent all your money on your cocker. Trust me, stick with the mag. get a regular e-mag, and save the extra 35o and get an extreme body when theitr released. you wont regret it.

I say get a viking. You can get a nice viking in about that price range. If you dont have tank, just get a nice one, throw on a drop that you prefer. A boomer, a halo, some stickys and your rocking. It seems your leaning more towards the cocker cause of the "Cocker Elves Theory" The thing with cockers is the reason why they seem so accurate is cause they have basically 0 kick cause the way the bolt moves, making it seem that it is really accurate which does help though. The viking has barely any kick, super consistent, basically runs off a cockers design. Is fast, easy to shoot, comes with an awesome regulator, all you need is a tank, halo, and a nice barrel and your rocking.
I would say angel, but if you wanted one you would most likely say that.

Best guns (From my experiences, and from what i feel is comfortable)

These thoughts were based on from:
                            Consistency
                            Reliability
                            ROF (is some cases)
                            Easy Maintenance
Upgrade Expandibility (Us angel owners love cosmetic upgrades )
Cosmetics (Heh, you need it its true )
Comfort (what you like, light trigger, customizable trigger, its tight, its compact, blah blah etc.)

                            From greatest to least:

Angel IR3 (my fav, is the dark and the mamba)
Angel LED (adrenalin, stars and stripes)
                            Angel LCD (impact, and dark)
Viking (more bang for the buck)
Excaliber (a few customs out there)
                            MacDev Sonic Cocker
                            Dye Cocker
Properly Tuned Custom Cockers (just need the right pneumatics, internals, frame, reg, and the other essentials pick out a nice body, and your set)
Extreem E-Mag w ace and the emagnum board
                            Stock Emag with emagnum board

I would go with a electro over a cocker, especially if you don't know anything about cockers, the sfls look awesome but they work the same as 600 dollar shocktech cockers, super heavy pull (compared to my free flow imo), I would go with a free flow cocker over shocktech anyday, but it is your decision, you got to love the speed of the emag and the level 10 stuff, sfl cockers still can chop
