    Superbolt II Cutaway View

    Magsters,

Here is a cutaway showing how we lightened the new Superbolt. Note that the wall is much thinner now but still has great strength because it's stainless. To see how much we cut away look at the rear end where it gets thicker back to original size. We also added in all the tricks with the radiused edges etc.

This all stainless, never wear out version only weighs 8% more than the original SB. It weighs in at 1.16 oz and is in contention for the lightest reciprocating bolt in a paintball gun. That also means no kick!!

Nice, no fancy computer graphics, just cut one in half!!

How much heavier is this than the delrin SB, and does it use regular foamie bolt foamies or special ones?

Do extra foamies come with it like the SB or just the one?

    Oh, First post!

            There you go.

Sounds great. It really seems the Level 10 upgrade was well worth the wait.

guys do the math, it weighs 8% more than the old one. The new one weighs 1.16oz.

1.16(given weight of new bolt) - 8% = 1.0672oz(calculated weight of old superbolt)
              (.0928 difference in bolt weights)

yeah, it sounds great! this is how I believed would make the superbolt work best.

And just wondering Tom, is that a real superbolt 2? or the full power powertube greatly exaggerated here, cuz it doesn't look very big in the real superbolt picture.

Zads-I'm not sure how close the illustrated version is supposed to be to the real deal, but it looks like the dimensions are relatively close. But as long as the real dimensions will fit my real Mag, and the imaginary dimensions will fit my imaginary Mag, it's all good.
I'd much rather Tom spend his time making good schtuff than drawing good schtuff.

Just out of curiosity, how did you put the vent hole in there?

Well I'm assuming the bolt plunger pin and bolt face unit is seperate from the rest of the bolt casing like the current bolts and brazed in. You just can't see the braze joint since he colored it. So if they turn the center pin unit as a seperate piece, there should be no problem in putting in that vent hole, then brazing it into the bolt casing.
