AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I find that not getting mad at them is the best way to do it, because they are just trying to piss you off so you play crappy. Just look at them and smile, and say something like, "we'll see when I paint you green". Then their smile turns upside down, great to see.
"If everything is under control your not moving fast enough."
Played last weekend at Bear Creek just outside Silicon Valley, CA... had someone come up to me to gawk at my E-Mag while we waiting at the staging area for the field staff to announce what the next game was going to be.
He says "I hear that they're paint blenders."
I said "Judge for yourself."
I turned toward the field of play, found a metal fence post (2" wide, 5 foot tall) 30 or so feet away at the edge of the playing field, raised my marker and proceeded to paint the white top (2" wide by 8" tall target) end of the fence post with 20+ rounds of RPS green marbs in a just a couple seconds. His response was "I hope you're on my team." I looked at his pink armband and turned my head to the side showing him the green strip of plastic tied to the back of my mask and said "Sorry, no such luck today" then I turned and walked to where my brother was standing smiling to myself.
There were alot of players with green paint on them this weekend, alot of very satisfying goggle action :)
