we placed 6th at panam major

Just as the subject says, my team Unreal placed sixth at the panam major in sandiego. The tournament was very well run, the games were ahead of schedule all day no delays. Everyone played hard and there were only a few temper tantrums thrown by players.
On the cheating tip, I didn't see any personaly. One of the refs was asked to leave because he was found planting pods for another team?? When we advanced to the semi's we only got to play two games. The first game we played on a large city field that had been producing stalemates all day. Sure enough we stalemated but lost the flag pull. I do have a few little complaints about that game. The refs on that field were much younger than the other fields, I got the feeling they weren't from a team just the local refs. The team we were playing was a local team. A small detail but they incorrectly cronoed the other team and the only two guns they cronoed that were both hot were allowed to go into the game. I saw this happen but didn't want to create a problem right before are game. Once the game started we repeatedly asked for a paintcheck of the player in there 50. One of our player swore he had hit him in the left shoulder and was screaming it. We never got our paintcheck. They never once checked anyone on there team. We had our tape guy try a bunker move and got hit on the way in. Acording to the refs own words he played on for about a second then looked down saw the break and called himself out. We got one extra pulled for the play on. I thought that was a little harsh and not a very consistent call form what I have seen, usally if a player is in the middle of a bunker run they give him a little extra time, you cant stop and check every bouncer. After all of this I still wouldn't have thought anything was wrong except the refs were congradulating the other team after the game like, "Awsome move man, you play like an animal". The player that we asked for a check on had two large orange hits on his left shoulder. We had been shooting orange steel.
Not to get to upset we went out and won are next game no questions asked against a tough urban quest team. Not quite enough points to put us into the finals. The team that stalemated us, but got the pull, went on to place second.
MY PICTURE IS UP AT WARPIG. It is me hanging the flag against urban quest. I am carrying my trusty retro mag. Some nice shots of our front man Art in there also. The pic of us start at photo gallery 6 and go to 8 I think.

Thats nice placing, also thats why I don't play in tourneys, too much bribery and cheating/helping by the refs. Also ... to pull a player who called himself out after a few seconds of being tagged...thats just wrong. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU CALLED FOR A PAINTCHECK on the opposition who was elimnated...they should have pulled HIM + 2!!! Anyway..good job guys..Sounds like you had fun. I personally like rec games as there is more of an honor rule... and if they're not honorable... light them up!

6 pts to 5th place, 16 to 4th, 24 to 3rd, 26 to 2nd, 34 to first. It isn't quite that easy because the top three teams advanced to a finals round.
